Sue The Bastards!!!

Eye for an eyeI hear this stated all the time. “Sue the bastards! They withdrew the charge right? So now you can sue them.” These statements are made by very angry people who, in my opinion, are only seeking to harm someone back for an injury or damage they suffered.  The fact is there is a Maxim of Law that states, “A personal injury does not receive satisfaction from a future course of proceeding.”

What this means is that suing the city, or prosecutor, or cop, or anyone else who has attempted to harm, you does nothing in alleviating an injury.  Once the assault has been seized and the prosecution withdraws there is nothing more to do.  To sue the accuser would be to in fact begin damaging them and now you would become the one in the wrong.

Matthew 5:38 – 42 states: “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.”

This passage isn’t about not fighting back.  It’s about the fact that an eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.  I’m not asking anyone to stop fighting against the corporatist tyranny that’s infesting our planet.  It’s the corporatism that is causing pollution and loss of resources.  Corporatism is the cause of modern slavery and poverty.  Corporatism is the cause of much loss and suffering on this planet today but to attack another man after you have won the fight is to lower yourself to their standards.

We will win this fight for freedom and liberty.  Corporatism has never succeeded in history.  It failed in 1920s to 1940s Germany.  It failed under Mussolini in Italy.  It failed with the USSR and it’s failing all over Europe today.  Corporatism is the cause of the united States downfall occurring now and it’s demise to be seen in the near future.  The concept of continual growth in a finite world can never succeed.  The idea of charging interest on loans where no revenues provide for the ability can never survive indefinitely.

We don’t need to attack each other but rather need to vote properly.  Voting never occurs in a polling booth but rather happens everyday of our lives.  We do it with our dollars and with our time.  When we spend hours watching sports or sitcoms on television we are voting that we don’t care about anything important.  When we buy poor quality products made by “labor camps” in poorer countries we are voting that we don’t want quality or durability.  When we buy boxed foods packaged by large corporations we are voting for GMO foods and poor diet practices.

We need to vote with our dollars and time and do so with conscientious awareness of what we are doing.  Corporations are constantly seeking the opinions of their customers.  You can even make money online filling out surveys for them to help them in their marketing practices.  Corporations care about nothing but the bottom line, that is no secret.  So let them know what you think  of them by affecting their bottom line.  Stop supporting the corporate greed and that includes the corporate courts that require your services to survive.

Peace and blessings,

Rob

  1. I agree, when criminals wearing clown/crown badges and uniforms Damage another man/woman/person/ animal, they need to be taught a lesson, that irregardless of a piece of paper giving them immunity, they are liable, and to sue them in their own courts, might not win you big cash, but sure will make them slow down or actually put a stop to abusing the people whom dont wear them stinking badges or clown dresses.

  2. Great write-up on the proper time and place for lawsuits. We live in a frivolous society that has no basic understanding of the law nor a sense of responsibility for personal actions…so it does not surprise me that there are so many frivolous lawsuits.

    • Exactly, Dave. The lack of basic knowledge and personal responsibility is how the people have lost control of the land we occupy to corporate control. We need to begin by learning legal procedures and taking personal responsibility before we start hiring lawyers who are nothing more than shady salesmen.

  3. Being liable for damages such as you speak is one thing. Perhaps I wasn’t sufficiently clear. Allowing people to get away with crimes is one thing but I’m talking about all the people who want to sue for no real reason.

If someone accuses you of needing to have license, insurance, and registration and you challenge that claim and they withdraw there is no real damage. Since there is no real damage there is no reason to sue.

If someone breaks into your home or stops you on the street and beats you up because you refused to give them a name, then harm is done and recompense justified.

It is a difficult and very fine line to define but one must pick and choose the battles. I don’t think losing a full day at work is worth a $30 dollar parking ticket, do you?

Personally I hope Pantaleo gets the death penalty for what he did but there is still injury in that situation; as well as the potential for more. With that said once violence has begun it is near impossible to stop. The balance must be weighed and the one who is short must account for it but let’s not get out of hand with this. Agreed?

    • I agree with you, but I guess the motivation is really up to the individual. For hubby’s speeding ticket, we spent more money filing a claim against the judge and prosecutor than the ticket cost…..but we have several reasons for doing this. The main reason is that we are gaining great experience. I have more confidence now than I did a few days ago because now I know I can file a claim. [Now we did NOT ask for any money in our suit, the remedy we are seeking is to get the ding dongs to discharge the complaint, but after thinking about it we will amend the claim so that we can recover the court costs, which were several hundred dollars].

Another reason is to ensure that if this situation arises again, these guys will think twice before proceeding against us or anyone else who claims to be in their private capacity. I understand that to most people, our actions look crazy. We could have saved a lot of time and money if we just paid the ticket, but then nothing changes. I am sure there are probably other ways we could beat this ticket, following what you and your friends have done, but I am hoping the approach we are taking at a minimum creates some ‘poopie diapers’ amongst the posers pretending to rule over fellow man.

Were we damaged?? Not physically, but we spent much time dealing with this, and that is time we can never get back. Could we sue for compensation for our time? Probably, but we dont want to give any perception that we are greedy and only out for what we can get. Depending on what happens with this suit, we may require compensation at some point.

I appreciate this discussion…..it is good to share different perspectives.

      • I’m a bit confused. I know you were fighting a ticket but you’re now saying you are suing them over it? That’s news to me and does seem excessive. Is this a counter-suit and if so then yes you should also include court costs at the least?

        • it might seem excessive, but after sending them tons of notices and letters and having no affect, there isnt much alternative. the suit is claiming trespass on rights by proceeding on a complaint without properly establishing jurisdiction. the claim is against the ‘judge’ and prosecutor. it is not a counter-suit, it is a stand-alone claim Karl Lentz-style. we amended the claim to include court costs.

          • Understood. You did attempt remedy first and that is appropriate in my opinion. Law suits and courts do have a purpose but I was trying to state that once the damage attempts are over there is no reason to attack back.

If you need to settle a matter and the people involved aren’t working with you then by all means do sue. I’m studying Jurisdictionary for exactly that reason. That and CRA keeps pissing me off with requests from new agents.

  4. I hear and appreciate what you are saying, but one thing I struggle with is how to affect a change in behavior without “suing the bastards”. If a cop assaults and tortures someone because they think they can hide behind their badge, then how does one show the cop that assaulting a fellow-man is wrong, badge or no badge? I think the only way these guys will understand is if they are forced to recognize they are liable, and the only way to do that is to sue them. I do understand that some people are just suing for what they can get, but I see it as a tool to correct bad behavior, and whatever monetary gain that comes from the suit can be used to further awareness and education.
